Calm day in Cosmiq couloir

The plan was to do something else but to hard wind force us to turn around, instead we skied cosmiq.

Mont Blanc

The plan was to ski Mont Blanc de Courmayeur Peuterey ridge. We started from cosmiq hut 01:30 and climbed the three months route. There was no tracks before us and we had to do all tracks by our self it took too much time and we was to late on the top of mont blanc to safetly ski down the line. We had to turn around and ski down the normal way.

We break the cornice and mikko skied in but it was on wrong place, not so easy to find the entry.

Aiguille Blanche de Peuterey North Face

This face is historical and famous in steepskiing. From Punta Helbronner this face looks so close but its so far away, i think thats why its not so very often skied. And its also very rarely in conditions. i have been looking on this face for years and always wanted to ski it but it has never been in good conditions untill now. But finally we could ski this left-hand route.

This line was first skied by Stefano De Benedetti 1980 after that only reapeted once by Luca Rolli and Francesco Civra in 2010.

We climbed up this right side.

On the way to fourche bivac it was hot this day.

Relaxing, cooking food and enjoying the good weather.

We started 02.00 black time.

It so much wilder on this side of montblanc

Higher up it was alot of snow. We reached the top just after 08.00

On the start it was powder on the top, amazing to be 6 of june!

In the lower section here it was not so steep anymore.

After that we skied skiersleft direct it was to much snow on the ridge and wet snow, to dangerous so we choose this way.

The way back to helbronner and the panorama lift to midi felt very long....

Exercise on Aiguille du midi

The weather is still playing us a game, its not perfect to go trying something big instead we ski the north face of aiguille du midi for training. Its good conditions, so close to the lift and no people this time of the year. We practice ropework and rappeling and ofcourse some qualityskiing. Today we went for eugster diagonal. I have skied this line so many times that it feels like skiing couloirensa in brevent. But you can always learning something new and be faster with ropework. :) And like always is good exercise and a another awesome day high up in the mountains.

The visibility was not so good in the start.
